Terms of Service

1.The Service

SimpleConnect helps you remember and keep in touch with the people you meet. You capture notes by typing, speaking or sharing screenshots; the Service uses AI to organize people, facts and follow-ups, tells you who to follow up with, and drafts messages for you to review and send yourself.

We’re always improving SimpleConnect, so features may change over time. If we make a change that materially reduces what you’ve paid for, we’ll tell you in advance.

2.Your account

• You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough to enter into a binding contract where you live, to use the Service.
• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date — in particular, an email address you control.
• Your account is for one person. Keep your email and Google account secure; you’re responsible for activity under your account.
• Tell us right away at support@simpleconnect.app if you think someone has accessed your account.

3.Free trial

New accounts get a free 14-day trial of SimpleConnect Pro, with no payment details required. When the trial ends, your account is paused unless you subscribe: you can still sign in, view, search, export and delete your data, but capture, AI features and the daily digest stop until you subscribe. One free trial per person.

While your account is paused, we send you a weekly summary of who’s due for a follow-up, without AI drafts, and occasionally an email about resuming your plan. Each has a one-click opt-out.

4.Subscriptions and billing

• Plans. SimpleConnect Pro is available monthly or annually, at the prices shown on our website when you subscribe. Taxes may be added where required.
• Payment. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for each billing period.
• Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until you cancel.
• Cancelling. You can cancel anytime in Settings → Plan & billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep access until then. Deleting your account cancels your subscription immediately.
• Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, and we don’t give refunds or credits for partial billing periods, except where the law requires it. If you think you were charged in error, contact us.
• Price changes. We may change our prices. We’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice before a new price applies to your subscription, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
• Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may retry it, and your account may be paused until the payment goes through.
• Fair use. Every plan includes generous daily limits on captures and AI requests to prevent abuse. Normal use won’t come close to them.
• Lifetime access. If you bought lifetime access before subscriptions were introduced, it stays valid for as long as we operate the Service, subject to these Terms — no subscription needed.

5.Your content

• You own it. Your notes, recordings, images, contacts and everything else you add (“your content”) remain yours.
• Permission to run the Service. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit and display your content only as needed to provide, maintain and secure the Service for you — including sending it to our service providers, such as our AI provider, as described in our Privacy Policy. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups that are overwritten on their regular schedule or that the law requires us to keep.
• Information about other people. You’re responsible for your content, including what you record about others. You confirm that you have the right to record and use it — for example, a lawful basis under the data protection laws that apply to you — and that doing so doesn’t violate anyone’s rights or any law.
• Keep a copy. You can export your data at any time. We work hard to keep it safe, but please keep your own copy of anything important.
• Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

6.Acceptable use

Don’t use SimpleConnect to:

• break the law or violate anyone’s rights, including their privacy;
• stalk, harass, surveil, intimidate or discriminate against anyone, or compile information about people in order to harm them;
• record information you have no right to hold;
• send spam or other unsolicited messages;
• upload malware or anything designed to disrupt or damage systems;
• probe, overload or interfere with the Service, get around its limits or security, or access other people’s accounts or data;
• scrape, copy, resell or reverse engineer the Service, except where the law allows it;
• share your account or resell access to the Service.

7.AI features

SimpleConnect uses AI to transcribe voice notes, extract information and draft messages. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or inappropriate. Review extracted details and drafts before you rely on them or send them — you’re responsible for the messages you send and the decisions you make. Suggestions about who to contact are just that: suggestions.

8.Third-party services

The Service works with services we don’t control, such as Google sign-in, Telegram, Stripe, WhatsApp and your email provider. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies, and we aren’t responsible for them. If a third-party service changes or becomes unavailable, related features may stop working.

9.Suspension and termination

• You can stop using SimpleConnect at any time and delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription automatically — you don’t need to cancel it first.
• We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if your use creates legal risk or harms others or the Service, or if payment fails. Where reasonable, we’ll give you notice and a chance to export your data first.
• If we shut down the Service, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to export your data.
• Parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue after your account ends — including those about your content, disclaimers and limitation of liability — continue.

10.Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or completely secure, that AI output will be accurate, or that data will never be lost.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can’t be limited by contract under the law where you live.

11.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SimpleConnect won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US$50.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow some of these limitations, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that can’t be excluded by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

12.Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we’ll let you know by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the updated Terms apply; if you don’t agree with them, you can cancel and delete your account.
